This is not the historic route leading to Saint Jacques but an itinerary used by pilgrims to link two venues imbued with Jacobean culture. The route follows the flower-bordered trails of the Vosges, vineyards and low-lying forest paths. It takes you on a journey of discovery of an Alsace far from from folkloric images, whose spirituality is manifest at each crossroad.
The itinerary used by the Amis de Saint Jacques in Alsace, which joins up with trails leading from Germany, is marked from Wissembourg to Belfort. Our friends from Franche-Comté have marked the extension of the trail to Cluny and Vézelay.
